UX - Defence Victoria
A website showcasing Victoria as the hub for building defence capabilities.
The Challenge
There are nearly $200b of defence building contracts available over the next 10 years. The challenge was to redesign a single page website into a multipage website that conveying Victorias defence capabilities.
The Problem
The single page site that existed did not do justice to Victorias capabilities. The site lacked information and was positioned as a information hub.
The Approach
In the discovery phase a competitor analysis and stakeholder interviews uncovered insights as to how it was approached by other states. Personas were then created as well as a journey map in order to uncover opportunities for improvement. Based on the results the Information architecture was then designed. A wireframe prototype was tested to validate the finding.
The recommendations were then implemented into design and the new website was built .

The Result
The site was launch prior to a conference and the metrics gathered indicated a high engagement in the months that followed. The outcome was engaging yet still content driven. Quicklinks and secondary navigation allowed the user to find information easily.
